USE OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY GEOPOLYMERS

Geopolymers are inorganic binders that are ideally suited as building materials for concrete production due to their material properties. The prefix “geo” emphasises the proximity to natural, geological materials. Geopolymer binders contain latent hydraulic and pozzolanic substances such as blast furnace slag and, unlike cement, do not react with water but require alkaline activators. The great advantage of the next.beton binder is that it is produced from the chemical activation of by-products from industry such as blast furnace slag and fly ash.

Therefore, next.beton sewer systems are particularly sustainable. This is because the recycling of industrial waste conserves primary raw materials and ensures a significantly lower CO2– footprint by dispensing with cement.

next.beton is completely different. In the production of the binder system, the energy input is limited to the preparation and refinement of the industrial by-products (fly ash and granulated blast furnace slag). As a result, CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 70 percent compared to conventional concrete.

NEXT.BETON – THE RESISTANT SEWER MATERIAL

next.beton duct systems are not only convincing because of their extremely low CO2 footprint, but also because of their technical advantages. For example, next.beton pipes are sulphate-resistant and highly resistant to chemical attack, as they do not contain any lime that could dissolve on contact with acids or other aggressive substances. In addition, next.beton is extremely heat and fire resistant.
